I've read from a few different places online that the superslim has a SATA 2 controller whereas the original PS3 and PS3 slim only have a SATA 1/1.5 controller. Anyone have any proof of this or is it just some weird rumour? The southbridge chip is identical across all Slims and Super Slims, so it won't have a better controller than the Slim as
PS3 super slim feels kinda slow. I recently bought a used PS3 super slim. The problem is that PS3 feels slow while on xmb and also while loading games. Heavy games like uncharted 3 stutter a bit. And I was unable to play gta 5 as it froze just after the prologue mission.
The more recently manufactured, the better the model. The Destiny and LEGO Lord of the Rings were the last PS3 Super Slim models released to my knowledge. The Last of Us PS3 bundle is from 2013 if I recall correctly. PS1/PS2/PS3 Gen - CDs, DVDs, Bluray, Games, Backwards Compatibility.
So I have a ps3 slim and have been thinking to get rdr. But I just learned xbox 360 runs all the games better than ps3 :(, and RDR i heard is a lot better. Now I also learned that RDR1 online still works, and I don't plan on paying for xbox 360 online for rdr online.
Disk space: I got the 12gb ps3 super slim and slapped in a 1 TB hard drive (doesn't void the warranty). That was cheaper than buying the 500 gb version. Do price comparison before buying. Look and feel: The slim has a dull matte finish, is heavier of the two, and (maybe I'm biased but) looks more mature.
Sony then went on to launch a PS3 Super Slim model, which managed to be 20 per cent smaller than the PS3 Slim, while tipping the scales at 25 per cent lighter. You can buy the PS5's disc drive as an optional extra, if you buy the digital edition and start missing physical discs.
Yeah, I have a ps3 super slim and a ps4 pro. The 3 is still my daily driver for watching movies, for some reason it has better menu controls and upscaling than the ps4. I have the star wars theatrical cuts on dvd and one of them wont play on the ps4 for some weird reason but plays fine on the ps3…
The PS3 Slim is more efficient than the PS3 Fat, but it's still a power hog compared to all other standalones. When playing a Blu-ray movie, it uses a little less than four times the amount of
